Article text
Thrilled Chac Mool, another of my images taken in the Cenotes, Mexico has taken first prize at the NUPG Annual Print competition 2014 in the Oversea Wide Angle Category. Chac Mool is the name of this particular cave which gives access to part of the underground network of rivers which run beneath the Yucatan Peninsular, which the ancient Mayans used to worship.
The Northern Underwater Photography Group Print Competition is held at the Anglesey Scuba Fest each August. Competitors are asked to submit their printed images, which are then displayed and fellow competitors and other diving enthusiasts from the Scuba Fest are ask to vote for their favourite photographs, votes are then counted to reveal the winning images.
